Inn of the Sea

Inn Of The Sea is a unique ocean front resort, nestled amidst a grove of cedar and arbutus trees, located just 25 minutes south of the city of Nanaimo, on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.

This resort, comprised of over thirty individually owned vacation rental condos, is just a stone’s throw away from the pristine ocean shoreline of Stuart Channel.  For your arrival here, there are two ferry ports close by: Departure Bay and Duke Point. Nanaimo Airport is a 15 minute drive away.  You could also come to Vancouver Island via Victoria airport or Swartz Bay Ferry, though this route is longer by at least 60 minutes. Info for ferry schedules: www.bcferries.com   Note: Ferry reservations are  strongly recommended during the  summer season, and on all Fridays and Mondays.

Each condo is two-bedroom, two-bathroom, though some units also rent as a one bedroom or a still smaller hotel style bachelor studio, so you will be able to choose the size that best fits your needs.  There are two unobstructed waterfront buildings and two buildings set slightly back. Each unit has a water view.  Most units have front and back decks, many have skylights and fireplaces, and many units are kid and pet friendly.

The property boasts a seasonal pool that juts over the water’s edge, a year round hot tub, a children’s playground, tennis court, a fire pit, and several outdoor patio areas with BBQ’s.

Renters can moor their boats (under 30 feet) for no extra cost with pre-rental permission from management.

There are many quaint towns and villages nearby, a Sunday Farmer’s market, a world-class theatre in Chemainus, hiking trails, kayak and paddle board rentals in Ladysmith, and many more attractions.

We invite you to come and experience all that is Inn Of The Sea.
Immerse yourself in nature. Listen to the ocean waves, thrill to the most glorious sunrises, watch the sea otters on the dock, bunnies on the lawn, bald eagles, seals, sea lions, and yes, the occasional pod of Orca whales, and perhaps a family of deer on the beach at dawn.

Owners at Inn Of The Sea took all the photos on our page.  No Photoshopping. This is what you get folks!  Unbridled beauty.
